SERGE LUTENS
Born in Lille, France in 1942, Serge Lutens was a legendary photographer and a well known makeup artist. His artistic ways were developed and enhanced during his teenage years. As early as 14 years old, he became an apprentice in a salon where he experimented with makeup and photography, asking his friends to pose as models for him. Molded by experience and acquired skills, Serge Lutens moved to Paris in 1962 to pursue his dreams. He showed his work to Vogue and was hired on the spot to be a jewelry and makeup artist. His career in fragrances did not start until 1962, when Shiseido, a Japanese company commissioned him to create Nombre Noir _ This paved way to the Serge Lutens brand. His success was inevitable, especially because he worked closely with Christopher Sheldrake, also known as a master perfumer. Today, Serge Lutens Fragrance Line is incomparable to other perfume brands. The name has set a special position in the fragrance world, making them an unrivaled by any other design house.
