
KENZO
In 1970, Japanese designer Kenzo Takada founded a French luxury house, Kenzo. Takada was born in Japan and moved to Paris in 1964 to start his fashion career and became well known for his Asian and Japanese influenced style with the expert construction of European high fashion. His "Jungle jap" boutique was located in Paris which was decorated in a jungle themed decor. He started with handmade clothing for women then later he started designing for kids, men and home collections. In 1987, Kenzo Parfums was launched but the first fragrance was officially released in 1988. Prior to this launched, the earliest fragrance crafted by Kenzo was the Kingkong perfume for women in 1978. Kenzo fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Sophie Labbe, Francoise Caron,Daphne Bugey, Annick Menardo, Sophia Grojsman, Antoine Lie, Olivier Cresp, Aurelien Guichard, Daniela (Roche) Andrier, Christian Mathieu, Ilias Ermenidis, Alberto Morillas, Benoist Lapouza,Maurice Roucel, Jean Jacques, Sylvie Fischer, Christophe Raynaud, Nathalie Gracia-Cetto, Olivier Pescheux, Olivier Polge, Francois Demachy, Christine Nagel, Marie Salamagne, Dominique Ropion, Jacques Cavallier, Francis Kurkdjian, Sonia Constant and Dora Baghriche-Arnaud.
